Sherpa is a synthetic fabric made to look like shearling. Shearling is real sheepskin with the wool left on. It has the smooth suede surface on one side and the trimmed wool of the sheep on the other side. Sherpa is a synthetic version of this and is sometimes called: faux-shearling or faux-sheepskin. Sherpa is a knit fabric usually made from polyester but has some stretch to it. It has a smooth knit side and a textured side to resemble the fleece from sheep.
In addition, we use Recycled Polyester instead of virgin polyester, to reduce the impact on the planet. The color is added into the RPET chips to reach higher-than-usual color fastness.
